Homework – Iteration, components, and a mini design system
Iterate the prototype based on the tests of homework 8, then organize the recurring elements of the finalizing interface into Figma components, and build a small, usable design system from them. The system should reflect the essential fixes made on the basis of the tests.
Deliverables
a shareable Figma link;
a decision log of at least three essential iterations: evidence (finding), hypothesis, change, rejected alternative, expected effect, and open question;
the result of the check for at least one modification (retest or other evidence), measured against the success criterion, with the limitations stated;
a separate, clear page or frame for the mini design system;
reusable buttons at least in primary, secondary, and disabled states;
input fields in default, focus, and error states;
other relevant elements (for example checkbox, radio button, card, or dropdown);
variants for the relevant states;
a proposed next step that reduces a concrete uncertainty.
Evaluation criteria
The hypothesis follows from the finding and is checkable.
The decision log shows the evidence, the alternative, and the trade-off.
The result is proportionate to the evidence, the limitations are stated.
Only components that really occur on the project's screens are included.
The naming and grouping are consistent, the system can be reused on other screens.
